Inspiration provided by just about every film noir gem (classic or obscure) that could come to one's mind...
One SB-800 camera left, halfway down a flight of stairs, facing up at the model, White shoot through umbrella, 1/32. Triggered with Pocket Wizards.
Ambient light that is catching her hair camera right comes from a row of windows.

Cecilia
Please be so kind as to view large, thanks.
When Cecilia and I were emailing back and forth setting up this shoot, I kept asking her whether it would be windy. She repeatedly assured me that the west coast of Höno, the island where she lives, always has a healthy breeze in the evenings.
She was right, of course. And I'm pretty thankful.
Strobist info: One SB-800 up very high and pointing down at Cecilia, and one pretty low, to eliminate any shadows. Both with white shoot through umbrellas, both with 1/2 CTO gels, at 1/16 and both camera left in this instance.

Summer. Sunset. Sweden.
It's no secret that we get lots of very cold and dark days in Sweden. But on summer nights like this one, when the last rays of the sunset are still visible well past 10 pm, I can assure you that's the furthest thing from your mind. Ahhh, summer...
