Title: Faces of Carnaval

by Lisette D. Vergara

"Inspired by Alice Stroppel’s polymer clay art. The faces are the composite of smaller canes forming the eyes, eyebrows, mouth, etc. Thin slices are then cut reveling the face design. The hair styles as well as the gowns all display different techniques to roll fondant in canes."

I’m beginning to recognize Lisette’s work when she’s experimenting with polymer techniques with fondant. And after researching Alice Stroppel for this entry, I think the two of them should get together and see what kind of masterpiece emerges.
