Blue Wildflowers

    Newer Older

These are actually bird's-eye, also known as speedwell (Veronica persica) that I found near Goshen Creek on the Blue Ridge Parkway. They're really quite tiny, smaller than bluets in fact, and their beauty often goes unnoticed. If they had feelings they likely would suffer from the "Godzilla" syndrome as people tromp through them unknowingly. Those ferns are only 3 to 4 inches in length, which should give you a sense of scale.

I thought I would start on your 1st page & work backwards Mike, it took me ages to decide which pic to comment on as there are too many good ones but I settled on this as I think maybe we all need a little brightness in our days......................& this sure jumps out of the page & screams for a comment.........................so who am I to refuse.
