where the day flows, only time

What a week. I had no inspiration for 52 weeks, and the school week was pretty...unexpected. So I did other things, which included giving Grace and her bud Butterball a good bath & brushing. Due to the cold weather, I had put it off for way too long...so when the temp climbed to the 60s today that was the first thing I did. And with all of the fur I pulled out, you could have knitted a hat....nasty.

School work is getting heavy once again. And my sleep patterns are far from normal/healthy at the moment, lol. Summer can't come fast enough...but other than that, this was a good week.

As for the photo...it was taken while out on the property. I took away the background colors, added some texture and tinting, and wah-lah, some sort of photo! haha.

My truck finally came out of the shop Thursday, so naturally the first thing I did was drive to the dog park with Grace :] Runs great, and now I have that extra little bit of independence.

There was only one dog there since we got there so late...not a great time/enough lighting for pictures so I took some silhouette photos to make up for it. I have a new fascination for them, so this will probably only be the first of many silhouette shots I take for 52 weeks. I wish I could have incorporated the mountains in the background in the picture but it was too dark. They were covered in dynamic-looking clouds...gah. I'll get a shot of the awesome Rockies another time :)

I need to quit uploading these so late, lol. This was actually taken on Thursday, on one of our afternoon after-school walks. Grace was very patient with me as I made her pose on the street multiple times. Behind her is the main road; in this photo, we were on the back roads. I took a bunch of her one the actually paved one but I didn't like any of them so I chose this one. It's a little dark but otherwise I like it.

If you didn't know already, Grace has dog-to-dog issues. She's not aggressive, but acts that way when meeting other dogs-- barking, charging, snapping, the like. And then when she finally meets the other dog face-to-face, she calmly sniffs them like any normal dog. I think it's leash aggression, but I dunno. Nevertheless, one of the neighborhood dogs came out at us barking and she didn't even bark (she did growl, however) so it was a good day. :] My goofball <3

came across this dog while I was walking grace. I've seen him/her a few times before but never this close. he/she has a home but I guess the owners weren't there because the dog came right out of his yard to bark at grace and I.

Here we go. a rerun of the past. I had so much trouble with finding the right shot for the start of this project...and I'm not even happy with this one, but I'm running out of time now. I think it's the obnoxious trees in the background...oh well. haha

This is Grace, my -just turned- 3 year old German Shepherd Dog. She's had quite the interesting past but I've been working on fixing her displacement/neglect issues ever since I adopted her from the shelter in August of 2009. She's a good dog...and I love her beyond words. I don't have anything interesting to talk about today, but I'm sure that will change in the future pictures. I always find myself on an adventure when I'm working with her <3. In this picture she is placing a protective paw over her precious jolly ball. She has two of them and she loves them so much! I still don't know how she fits them in her mouth, but plan to see more of mr. jolly too since he is always with her wherever we go.

I'm looking forward to this year. Truck's almost fixed as well. [: woot. finished with my story for today. haha.
