The factory Ferrari 250 TR's that came in first and second at Sebring in 1958. The #16 Ferrari was driven by Luigi Musso and Oliver Gendebien and came in second. The #14 Ferrari was driven by Phil Hill and Peter Collins and came in first. Both cars were equipped with the Ferrari Tipo 128 LM V12 3-liter engine. This was the era of no roll bars, street clothes for racing and seat belts that most times were not used. Some say it was the era of real men and real cars. BTW, the brakes were were a bit primitive on the Ferrari cars and needed a lot of pedal pressure to work. Phil Hill would do a workout doing squats with 100 pound weights on his shoulders to strengthen his legs for the 12 Hours of pumping those pedals.
