Letterpress Business Card: Scarpetta
Custom business card for Boulder wine company Scarpetta. Paper for this card was a custom duplex using 140# cardstock and 100# cardstock. Given the difficulties in letterpress printing on both sides of a business card, I printed the front and the back sheets independently and under supertight registration, then laminated the two sheets together. This allowed for a significant impression on both sides of the card without impairing legibility or having the impression from one side show-through to the other. While this adds a few steps to the process, the end result is a beautiful card with presence and a wonderful hand. Oh, and a fun composition, too, as the pig extends from one side of the card to the other.
