Still, I'm not sure what the MSP airport people were thinking. I wonder if they hang funnel clouds and lightning bolts in the summer.

We had some time there on the way back, so I decided to wander with my camera. I was disappointed with the art, which consisted of these things, a couple of minor light fixtures, and the tiles on the floor of the main thoroughfare.

Airport art is totally hit and miss. SEA has a few interesting pieces. The only airport that's consistent with its art is SFO, which always has something interesting, especially on the main public concourse of the International Terminal (outside security by BART and on the opposite end by the permanent museum), along the moving walkways of the United Terminal (inside security) and at the south end of Terminal 1 (outside security).
