The Jacob Options these days are a) clear and not smiling/laughing/talking or b) blurry and cheerful. This is option A.
He looks like he's annoyed about the haircut but I think it was just that I denied him gingersnaps for dinner. Can you imagine how awful that must be for a 2 year-old? I mean, they have no concept whatsoever of the reasons they cannot or should not have gingersnaps for dinner. "Gingersnaps? I like gingersnaps, I'll eat them for dinner," they think, like good little Muppets. So, I empathize, kid. But yeah, still no cookies before dinner.
at musing's end, puhahaha9, and 2 other people added this photo to their favorites.

Love this. Recently, my 4 year old told me he was going to call the police and have me arrested because I wouldn't let him have cookies for dinner. Instead, I was forcing him to eat his vegetables! The shame!

My 2-year-old is the same way. I have these gorgeous pictures of him looking sullen and serious. Or blurry/ super closeup pictures of him being happy. Or just pictures of him running away.

i bribed Cooper with a gingersnap last night so I could get him to try on a hand-me-down peacoat from his cousin. True story.
it worked and then after he saw the cookie it tried RIPPING off the jacket.

I completely understand with the mothering rules thing. BUT....one look at that face and I'd have given up the gingersnaps.

He is just adorable! How funny- yesterday I gave my 18 month-old granddaughter a gingersnap cookie I made that is quite spicy- was sure she wouldn't like it- well, she kept asking for more! I know it's a grandmother's privilege, but- Hurray for gingersnap cookies for dinner!!

my 2 year old puts his little index finger up, makes the cutest, sweetest face and says, "mommy, just one!" and I cannot resist.

He is the cutest little person, like, ever. This, coming from someone very biased in favor of her own brood.
