So, we're lounging lazily on the bed. Jacob is drinking his milk, I'm laying back on the pillow, trying to remember what sleep was once like and all of a sudden, the babysitter arrives and says "hello!" Jacob practically does a handspring off the bed so he can run to her faster. (Previously, he'd been afraid to dismount off the bed, since when he hangs off, his feet don't hit the floor. Apparently, he just hadn't had the right enticement!)
P.S. Not a word about my mess of a nightstand, which includes a tissue-d attempt to clean a toddler nose, an external hard drive he'd recently relocated, a leaf-card save the date for a wedding, multiple Garden & Gun magazines and several books I will never finish reading.
