dork!

Nearly two years after I received this KitchenAid mixer as a bridal shower gift, from my mother no less, I have FINALLY unwrapped it. Wha? No, I am not an ingrate. I have no room, what with the tiny kitchen and the one small counter only, and it is not something easily shuffled in and out of the closet. But today was the day because no less than 21 egg whites were whipped, in preparation for two desserts, one which will require a second try. This baby is a dream come true... get this, I just put the egg whites in the, turn it on and WALK AWAY. I have never felt so unneeded in the kitchen. I don't know how I'll ever put it away again. Goodbye eggbeaters?

I told you! KitchenAid mixers are the BEST. Happy Pesach! (I'm at my parents' house, doing the same thing as you. We've already gone through three cartons of eggs. And are soon to be attempting the sponge cake again--the first one stuck.

Heheh. I ... didn't know what I was missing! I mean, the mixer is electric and stuff, but yeah. When I made that four-layer chocolate cake a few weeks ago, whipping those 12 egg whites really got annoying as they were almost bigger than my biggest bowl. When I made it again yesterday, it was much much easier. I could never put it back now.
