hot smoky paprika

Finally got some new spice tins but when I went to print up the labels, have discovered that their adhesive has totally dried up. Um, they are like 7 years old. I don't know why I should be surprised.

When you're holding the camera with the 2+ pound lens (total camera weighed in at almost 5 pounds!) you totally don't appreciate the pictures it takes. Oh, NOW I DO.

The red came out so fiery, straight out of the camera, I had to desaturate it so it didn't look insane.

Off to lift some weights now.

Thanks! I'm a contrast junkie too, and because the light is overhead from the skylight in our kitchen, I really need it -- things get washed out very easily. But seriously, I jumped back when I saw the way the camera recorded this red; it was insanely oversaturated.

Gorgeous paprika. I used some smoked p in some turkey chili recently and loved its effect. Great shot, too.
