I read about this on the web - rotate a document 90 degrees, blow it up to full screen, then read as you would with a book. It is surprisingly effective.

The new Tiger operating system, with a bit of
fakery (hold the option key down when opening
the "Displays" control panel) can
be persuaded to rotate the entire user
interface. Kind of cool in this situation.
