Bowen sunset

To take full advantage of Flickr, you should use a JavaScript-enabled browser and

Not quite a sunset, since the island is in front of the sun, but the light on the clouds seems to have been picked up by the water... resulting in a red sea. Not something we see here very often, so I grabbed a picture as best I could.

What an awesome photo. We're heading into a gray and dreary time for islanders, but it's shots like these that make me miss standing on the ferry, glorying in the outdoors as I decompress from work, knowing that this stretch of water means "home".

And...add this to the Bowen Island group?
