Wednesday morning, June 7 - stuck in traffic on the 400 North of Toronto. The traffic jam started at 6:15 am when a tractor-trailer loaded with lumber overturned at exit 88 (South of Barrie, about 15km). The nearest exit to the north was over 10km away and no police or road crews were out to warn motorists driving south that they should get off the highway. As a result, a 8km backup of traffic built up and there was nothing to do but wait until they cleared the road, which they did at about 11am. I missed my plane home. Twice.
