Aquamarine

An aquamarine crystal on mica (muscovite) from Gilgit in Pakistan. The crystal measures about 2 cm (.8 inches) from left to right.
This one is dedicated to all you magpies out there.

BTW, thank you for the invite to the "minerals and rocks" group. I appreciate the confidence, & I'll try not to let you down. ;)

I'll start hunting images @ a nearby coal strip mine (& I'll have a great chance when I visit Texas for my Niece's wedding =). My Dad was a rock hound, & passed it along to the kids. My oldest brother had an undergrad minor in geology (w/ a particular & personal interest in mineralogy & Petrology), and I enjoy them as well (but w/o a degree ;). OK. Again, thank you. ^_^
