The Polynesian Cultural Centre in Laie on Oahu is about one hour from Honolulu. The centre is divided into seven different areas representing the seven Polynesian cultures. This is the Samoan chief's house (if I remember correctly). The walls are covered with printed tapa. Tapa is made by pounding the bark of a tree to produce a fine, cloth-like material.
