Scott's Laproscopic Cholecystectomy

Gallbladder just prior to removal.
Not canned corn!
Yes, that is fat.
Forceps!
Not here anymore.
I know what you are thinking: looks like Lorena Bobbitt has been busy. Or "what a nice bratwurst".
Shriveled, the gallbladder is a shell of its former stone-filled self.
Scott's Laproscopic Cholecystectomy by Smerp.
Behold, my insides. Surgery was performed on 15 May 2009.

Clockwise from upper left: (a) forceps pull at my gallbladder, peeling it off of the liver, (b) area of liver where the gallbladder was attached, (c) distended gallbladder after removal (surgeon's hand is present for scale), (d) contents of removed gallbladder (200+ stones, most likely cholesterol stones).

So do the surgeon's photos come free with purchase of gallbladder removal surgery or did you have to pay extra for those shots? Or perhaps your insurance covers this?

Heh. I think it's a fringe benefit, as the surgeon keeps a copy for documentation.
