"Flamingo" in spanish is "flamenco", and a "tablao" is a flamenco show.

The Caribbean Flamingo or American Flamingo (Phoenicopterus ruber is a large species of flamingo closely related to the Greater Flamingo and Chilean Flamingo, with which it is sometimes considered conspecific.

The Caribbean Flamingo breeds in the Galapagos Islands, coastal Colombia and Venezuela and nearby islands, the Yucatán Peninsula of Mexico, and in the northern Caribbean in the Bahamas, Hispaniola, Cuba and Turks and Caicos. Most sightings in southern Florida are usually considered to be escapees, although at least one bird banded as a chick in the Yucatán Peninsula has been sighted in Everglades National Park, and others may be genuine wanderers from Cuba.

El flamenco del Caribe (Phoenicopterus ruber), es un ave de la familia Phoenicopteridae, que se encuentra en las Antillas, la península de Yucatán, el norte de Colombia y Venezuela y las islas Galápagos.

Es un ave alta que alcanza entre 120 y 140 cm de altura. Es esbelta; el macho pesa en promedio 2,8 kg y la hembra 2,2 kg. Puede verse en lagos poco profundos y aguas costeras. Está especializada en alimentarse en lagos con grandes concentraciones salinas o alcalinas. Obtiene su alimento desde el sedimento limoso del fondo. Estas aguas contienen suficiente alimento para satisfacer a un gran número de aves, que consumen insectos, camarones, y pequeñas plantas, diatomeas y otras algas.
