Couldn't wait to get out with the 550D so here we have my first uploaded shot with my gear.
Not that the camera has a lot to do with it but the improved/better features such as a good colour 3inch screen e.t.c. has helped with this shot. The 400D's screen always used to lack colour and contrast.
I cheated with the droplets and the flower- the droplets I added with a little spray bottle (which i'll be using more for sure) and the flower was from an indoor bokeh but is real. There's not many flowers around at the moment!
Hoping to invest in a macro lens soon!

From first impressions it's a good piece of kit, especially seeing as it adds so many new features to my control from the 400D.
Cannot wait to start filming/shooting with this during the coming weekend!

Went out for a sunset shoot on Sunday, turned out to be relatively interesting! It was one of those rare "blue sky and fluffy cloud" days so we decided to try out this location for sunset, will definaetly be returning again soon!

Another star filled sky shot with my new Samyang 14mm f2.8. It seems to have performed well again.
FINALLY a clear sky, I blew the clouds away ;)
Orions belt is visible in the centre of the image.
Really startng to love this lens, even if it is MF and Manual Aperture, it does not bother me the slightest at night because you have to MF anyway most of the time.
The litle buildng on the peak to the left is the top of the Le Fornet Cable Car (As seen in one of my previous images). I bet the view from up there is just epic.

I've been further testing the Samyang 14mm f2.8 this week during my holiday to France skiing. So far it is proving to be a delightful bit of glass that I would fully recommend to anyone who is on a tight budget.
There is some cloud in te sky but I can't control that. Hoping for a clear night tomorrow. Loving the serious depth given by the f2.8 here, something I'll be using a lot more from now on!
This is my first go at stars and I know really want to try astrophotography more!
