County of London Plan. the Plan was produced during WW2 by the London
County Council with the blessing of the government, as an exercise in 'blue
sky thinking' for post-war reconstruction. some of the ideas, such as
large-scale redevelopment, housing, zoning, were partially realised.
note that the County of London is the old LCC area, not the current larger Greater London which was created in 1965.
