Dead Fly Blues![]() A dead fly that was stuck to the roof of my car for several days. A victim
of rising petrol prices? I like to think so. How can people afford to blast around in their giant SUV fat-transporters when petrol is so expensive? It's madness, yet there they are, blasting along the dual-carriageway, parking inexpertly across two spaces at ASDA or blocking access to the out of hours surgery while popping into the offy for fags and leaving the hazards on. Where the hell do they get their money from? I'm clearly in the wrong job, or need to fiddle the benefits better. i believe your analysis of the cause of death for this unfortunate beast is correct.
he is frozen, possibly mummified by cold british weather YET STILL TRAVELS in death... his corpse mirrors the spirit of extasy, inverted.
A most poignant statement and possibly the most cryptic piece of performance art ever attempted by a common housefly.
I keenly await the 'mad max' wasteland wars that will inevitably stem from the fuel crisis. Life has become rather ho-hum lately.
