When this lot were at Northolt they'd get so much stick in the NAAFI.
Most common shout was "watch out lads, sally army's in". Might still be based there for all I know!

They stuck them on the RAF camp because it made traveling for most of their ceremonial duties easier. It was a very long time ago and the IRA were very active then too. Pickaxe handles would ward off an assault on the gates tho! ;-}
