So it has started. Interesting being a freshman at 34 years old. My Van Wilder dreams are going to come true.. I just hope Art History is not boring; it's my only 3 hour class, and it's at night...

"Oh no, I see,
A spider web, it's tangled up with me,
And I lost my head,
The thought of all the stupid things I said..
Oh no what's this?
A spider web, and I'm caught in the middle..
Oh I turned to run,
The thought of all the stupid things I've done...

And oh, I never meant to cause you trouble,
And oh, and I never meant to do you wrong,
And oh, well if I ever caused you trouble,
Oh no, I never meant to do you harm.

Oh no I see,
A spider web and it's me in the middle,
So I twist and turn,
Here am I in my little bubble,
Singing out, oh I never meant to cause you trouble,
Oh, I never meant to do you wrong,
Oh, well if I ever caused you trouble,
Oh no, I never meant to do you harm.
They spun a web for me..."

Commentary: Once again I could not manage to locate my wireless trigger for my shutter, and I didn't want to miss the morning light.. Focusing a self portrait on a self timer can be a little challenging at times, especially in wider apertures, prime lenses, and longer focal lengths.. I marked a spot, and used my softbox to focus where I would stand.. two shots, this was my pic...

"Spoon in spoon, stirring my coffee
I thought of you,
and turned to the gate,
And on my way came up with the answers,
I scratched my head
And the answers were gone...

From hand to hand,
Wrist to the elbow
Red blood sand
Could Dad be God?
Crosses cross hung out like a wet rag,
Forgive you? Why?
You hung me out to dry...

And maybe I'm crazy
But laughing out loud
Makes the pain pass by
And maybe you're a little crazy
But laughing out loud makes it all subside
Holding, I'm holding
I'm still falling,
I'm still falling...

Spoon in spoon,
Stirring my coffee,
I thought of this
and turned to the gate
But on my way
Crack lightning and thunder
I hid my head
And the storm slipped away..

Well, maybe I'm crazy
But laughing out loud
Makes it all pass by
And maybe you're a little crazy
And laughing out loud
Makes it all alright

Laughing out loud

From time to time,
Minutes and hours
Some move ahead while
Some lag behind...
It's like the balloon that
Rise and then vanish
This drop of hope
That falls from his eyes...

Spoon in spoon,
Stirring my coffee
I think of this
And turn to go away
But as I walk
There're voices behind me saying:
"Sinners sin, come now and play."

Laughing out loud...

Come now and play...

Come in from the cold for a while,
Everything will be all right
Come in from the noise for a time,
Everything will be alright
Everything will be alright
For now, goodbye
Friend, goodbye"

"Tilling my own grave to keep me level
Jam another dragon down the hole
Digging to the rhythm and the echo of a solitary siren
One that pushes me along and leaves me so

Desperate and ravenous,
So weak and powerless over you

Someone feed the monkey while I dig in search of China
White as Dracula as I approach the bottom

Desperate and ravenous,
So weak and powerless over you

Little angel go away
Come again some other day
The devil has my ear today
I'll never hear a word you say
Promised I would find a little solace
And some peace of mind
Whatever just as long as I don't feel so

Desperate and ravenous,
So weak and powerless

Desperate and ravenous,
So weak and powerless
Over you"

Time

Time

"Ticking away the moments that make up a dull day
Fritter and waste the hours in an offhand way
Kicking around on a piece of ground in your home town
Waiting for someone or something to show you the way

Tired of lying in the sunshine staying home to watch the rain
And you are young and life is long and there is time to kill today
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun

And you run and you run to catch up with the sun, but it's sinking
Racing around to come up behind you again
The sun is the same in a relative way, but you're older
Shorter of breath and one day closer to death

Every year is getting shorter, never seem to find the time
Plans that either come to naught or half a page of scribbled lines
Hanging on in quiet desperation is the English way
The time is gone, the song is over, thought I'd something more to say

BREATHE REPRISE
Home, home again
I like to be here when I can
And when I come home cold and tired
It’s good to warm my bones beside the fire
Far away across the field
The tolling of the iron bell
Calls the faithful to their knees
To hear the softly spoken magic spells."
