Waiting for flickr to recover from the hiccups at the spar I decided
to do a little bit of baking.

Apple Crumble with raisins
ingredients
450g/1lb apples, peeled, cored and chopped
50g/2oz unrefined brown sugar
50g/2oz raisins
1 tsp ground cinnamon

300g/10½oz plain flour sieved
175g/6oz brown sugar
200g/7oz butter cubed
A little butter for greasing
method
1.Preheat the oven to 180C/350F/Gas 4.
2.Butter a 24cm/9in ovenproof dish.
3.Put the flour and sugar in a large mixing bowl. Then adding a few
butter cubes at a time rub the butter into the flower and sugar. Keep
rubbing until you look like you have a bowl of breadcrumbs.
4.Mix the other brown sugar and cinnamon together.
5.Layer some of the apples in the dish then sprinkle over some of the
sugar ,cinnamon mix and some of the raisins repete until you have used
everything up.Then simply sprinkle the crumble mixture on top.
6.Bake in the oven for 40-45 minutes until the fruit mixture is
bubbling and the crumble is browned.

Thank you so much everyone for your utterly wonderful comments. I only wish I had had the time to reply to each of you separately at the time. I missed most of the Flickr blog excitement at the hospital with my little boy and his asthma. All of your comments and favorites are utterly and overwhelmingly joyful. Thank you again.
