hit by a pitch

James Loney of the LA Dodgers lays on the ground after being hit in the back by a Tim Byrdak pitch. Houston Astros catcher, J.R. Towles, reacts to the situation.

Fortunately, Loney was able to dust himself off and take first base with no apparent injury. My guess...one hell of bruise, though.

Sadly, the good guys lost to the Dodgers. Fun time at the ballpark, nonetheless!

Owww...

Were you there the night that our catcher got walloped on the head with a bat? I'm still cringing and I only saw it on tv...

Thanks, everyone!

@Chocolate Quilt Mom - No, I wasn't there the day that Quintero got hit with the bat. I actually haven't been getting to the ballpark as much as I'd like. Maybe I'll step up my attendance the second half of the season.

@ShutterSam & DigiNee - lol. Actually, our tickets were higher up on the field level, but I went down to the fourth or fith row of our section during the 9th inning. :)
