BN SF marked tie

BN SF marked tie by slambo_42.
Walking the track myself, I was surprised to see that BNSF had stamped the ties with their reporting mark. This was the first time I had seen this on any railroad, but I'm sure it can't be unique among railroading.

I also found it interesting that there's a space between BN and SF. Someone remembers the heritage of the railroad as the product of a merger between the two.

Your picture has been removed from the Vogon Poetry Appreciation Club photo pool because it has been viewed more than twenty-five times and is clearly of too high a quality for this group. Congratulations!
