Finally the first "proper" imaging run on the Altair 6" RC. After all the problems getting to grips with this new scope, it's great to see a half decent image out of it.
Possibly needs the same exposure time again to do it justice.
3 hours in Lum Atik 314l+ processed in Pixinsight.

M56 - test
The continuing saga of the Altair 6".
Re-balanced mount, collimation, focus testing with / without reducer and we're just about getting there. Still have some shift towards the top of the frame with elongated stars as I need a little more weight to balance out the scope at the counter weight end. Extension bar on order to solve that.

Altair 6" RC & Guide Scope
The side by side bar is gone - ST80 piggy backed on to the back of the RC using a dovetail clamp. Bring on the clear skies!
