Finally some new pictures. Went to Kleifarvatn late at night hoping for some aurora which didn't show. There was, however, a full moon so it was relatively bright. This is taken at a small geothermal area near the edge of the lake and there's a small river that runs over it. The moon lit up the smoke emerging from the area.

Taken at the same location as the previous picture. Boiling water is coming from the ground and around it is a small river that flows through the area.

Went out late one night to this emergency shelter close to Bláfjöll, hoping to get some aurora pictures but there were none to be seen. There was a full moon and it was really bright, being in the middle of the night.

Might look a bit confusing at first glance. These are rocks in a frozen lake - it was only a few centimeters deep. They're surrounded by air bubbles in the ice. In the upper right corner a small part of the stone is not covered by ice.

Hiker on Móskarðshnjúkar near Iceland's capital, Reykjavik. The clouds were really interesting, kind of wavy and you could almost see through them. Not sure how much I like this photo. The silhouette effect is done via raw conversion in PhotoShop.
