This aircraft, operating a new route from Istanbul that just opened earlier in the month, has been holding between the two south runways for a long while, due to all gates at Bradley Terminal being occupied.
In the back, China Airlines is departing, finally freeing a gate for the Turkish aircraft. One of the two Speedbirds will also depart shortly. The two Koreans (a Korean Air and an Asiana) will also be towed to the overflow parking shortly, as they will not be departing until after midnight.
I am proud to say that this photo is being used as one of the reference photos at German Wikipedia.
