Damansara Uptown -- Wanton mee shop

Damansara Uptown -- Wanton mee shop by skinnylatte.
Pondering the state of the world, coffee, and wanton mee. I look like a Chinese ah pek. Except that I'm Chinese, youngish and... female.

of course the most important question is, was the wanton mee any good?

Flattering angle :) I think the effects of the euro-splurge are wearing down.

placestosee: I don't have it, sorry, I only know it by its shoplot — plus it's a long way from KL, and no public transport. For a decent wantan mee in KL central there's Koon Kee in Chinatown. Try masak-masak.blogspot.com for recommendations.

Mee is mein (more or less). "me fuun" (mein funn/mai funn) is vermicelli (glass noodles.)

vermicelli isn't necessarily glass noodles. they could also be rice noodles, but thin. 'mein' is cantonese; mee is hokkien, 'mian' is mandarin. all the same. mai funn=bee hoon=mi fen
