Jim's Whippy

Jim's Whippy by Skinnyde.
Princes Risborough Festival Street fair

Purchased four raffle tickets from the Princes Risborough Photographic Society stall and won third prize. This was a mini digital camera, so it looks like Samuel has his first camera :)

From the thumbnail I thought it was somewhere like Bekonscot or Pendon. Then I realised it was real life!

The ‘bokeh’ effect in this is amazing, mate! It’s almost like you’ve shot a macro of a kids’ toy layout! (I see others thought the same). Fantastic!!!!

Very similar to that weird scale-changing effect lensbaby shots seem to have - love it!

Many thanks for your comments :)

This is a tilt/shift miniature effect which was especially popular on flickr about 3 months ago. I admit I am not 100% happy with the result, but it is the first time of trying.

How is it done? A Tute is here:

recedinghairline.co.uk/tutorials/fakemodel/

Also in the latest 'Digital Photo' it has a video lesson on how to do this on their CD.

I especially like the girl in the purple top who seems to be deeply deliberating what Ice Cream to choose.
