I can see the downward trend that started from when I left the house for work and caused Dex to start beeeeeeping after I'd just finished my first cup of coffee this morning. I tested to confirm this low and saw a 50 mg/dl winking up at me from my meter.
Even though it's a pain in the arse to wear this thing for days on end, it does do its job. It hollers when I'm high and warns me when I'm low. And for someone like me, all wound up with different thoughts and tasks these days, that reminder can be helpful. (Yes, some day it can drive me batty, too, but it all evens out in the end.)
Thanks, Dex, for catching this one before it spiraled away from me.

Wow, that is low! Glad it beeped at ya, too.
The lowest I've seen my wife is 44; scary times! I wish Jen would wear hers more.

LJ0913 - The lowest I can recall is a 27 mg/dl that I had a few years ago. It was one of the worst that Chris has ever experienced with me. But I've had a few that my ex-boyfriend had to handle (15 minutes after a glass of juice and I'm only 42 mg/dl) that make me shudder to think how low I could have been. Damn lows - they suck.
SKasper - LOL - on top of it? Not really, but I'm trying. I'm doing the insurance process now, too. Hopefully we can compare notes of success, but if we need to compare war strategies, we can do that, too. ;)

I would be happy to share both successes and war strategies....
The scary thing about lows is when the 4 year old comes in from playing and does a routine check before dinner and he's 30...no warning, no symptoms, nothing...that's when it get scary!

Wow, 27!?!?!! Who are you trying to impress? (ha!) That's scary low, and yes lows do SUCK!
I've known Jen for 7 years, been married to her for almost 4 years, in that time we've had one hospital visit. She went a little over 700. It took the ER 5 hours to bring her to a stable state. That was my scared time with Jen, and I HOPE my last!
The last two months, she's been on fire. She's been at the gym and really watching her numbers. I'm so stoked for her.
(She enjoys reading your flickr page. Thanks for letting us peek into your D-Life!)

I'm glad the Dexcom is able to help remind you during your busy days.
I've been hitting the 50's a lot lately, but I can't see the pattern. It's times like these that I would consider a CGMS, but I don't know if I could wear it all the time. Plus I don't want my parents to have to fight for it, when it's not something I really want/need.
Anywho my lowest low was 28 mg/dL, you've got me beat by 1!

My lowest was 27 too! Weird!

When I saw the 27 mg/dl, I actually thought, "Huh. My age and my blood sugar are the same. Gross." ;)

I've seen a 27 low also. I wonder if anyone has ever seen something lower than that. Is that the meter equivalent of HI ?
