I test at work, so there are oftentimes used test strips littering the garbage can of my office (I try so hard to get them in but they bounce out with little to no effort.) I test at work about seven times a day, careful to check before meetings and conference calls. I like knowing what my numbers are. Makes me feel in control of it.
(My desk at work is a disaster - the perfect blend of what my day is about: my work computer, roses from my fiance, a teeny snow globe that I shake up when I'm feeling stressed and craving a moment of serenity, CDs, my phone, DVDs of new dLifeTV episodes, a coffee mug, plants, this weird Omaha Steaks Conversation Cards that one of the marketing ladies gave me, and a stack of columns that need editing.
I surround myself with bits and pieces of things that keep my brain churning. It's more fun that way.)
