Here's another view. I believe you're right. I seem to remember that it said the Involved Student on the plaque. Have you seen this somewhere else also?

There is a very similar sculpture at the Clifton MuniCenter - almost directly in front of the main entrance to the main building - right by the Avenue of Flags tribute. The Clifton "Involved Student" sculpture is embedded in ground cover (some type of ivy), so it is barely visible. I'll try to post a few pics of it next month.

Hanlon is more known for his Memorials and Monuments like the one in Brick

I'll have to check check out the one at MU.
Do they have more sculptures there?

"Before Cell Phones" is aptly put; ever since the cell phone's invention, while more useful in emergency situations and bearable at home and in workplaces, they've especially been a nuisance outdoors, ringing every five minutes, about the equivalent of watching television outdoors, and everyone in my family suffering from what we call the 'Charlotte Pickles' syndrome after the character from "Rugrats" who's never seen without hers. ; )
