It was Vivekananda's birthday (some time in January). I set the auto timer.

@KrisKumar: Yep, I should have added that it was not only Vivekananda's birthday but sunrise just after the all-night darshan of my guru (Mata Amritanandamayi). When she finished hugging everyone and they did Arati for her, lots of devotees trooped down to the beach. A magical moment that could only happen if you are lucky enough to follow a saint around India!
