Set Yourself on Fire
My mother died last Monday. Strength is what I need most right now.
For FF, For this week's theme: Written on the Body
My life is a series of trials. One which anyone would find more than challenging.
Last week, I got removed from my job because of global recession. My mother died last Monday, August 10 2009. I was hospitalized Wednesday morning. Today is my mother's funeral. She was 54.
The tattoo that I got last Friday, August 8, is a symbol for inner strength. It is the alchemy symbol for iron. Iron is the core of supernovas, the state before which stars explode. Iron is that which holds the entire star together before it finally sets itself on fire.
I do not think there is a more fitting symbol for that which I need in my life right now.
I'll add more outtakes on the comments tomorrow.
PS: NOT TAKEN by ME. THANKS.

For that week's theme: Significant Others.
This is Abel. A very good friend of mine. He is the subject of more than three of my journals, and even has a dedicated tag in my main blog.
Ours was a very simple love story. We are very good friends now. I could sincerely say I am very much willing to have any of my limbs chopped off for him come zombie apocalypse.
