I agree, the lighting is superb. I love the green on the tree nearest to the camera, it seems at odds with the warmth of the photo.

It's a blended exposure, yes. High and low exposure versions were taken from the same RAW file and blended using masks in photoshop. I've just acquired a Wacom tablet - so it's a bit of an experiment!
