Cousins

I took this about 24 years ago or so. My son and his favorite cousin are giving the slide on the new swingset a try. Eric, my son, doesn't look too sure about being so far off of the ground but as always, as long as he's with Jarrett, everything is okay. They were the closest of friends.

I found this while looking through old photos for a slideshow my husband and I put together for Eric's recent wedding. Jarrett died in November, 2007. This photograph--long forgotten and tucked away in a box---seems a special treasure.

Cousins

This is a photo of my son, Eric, and his cousin, Jarrett, taken one early autumn day in our backyard. They were the very best of friends. I think this might possibly be Eric and Jarrett's first trial of the new swing set

I was going through old photos the other day for a slide show for Eric's wedding and found this photo. Jarrett died about 20 months ago at the age of 26, so I was particularly happy to find this photograph.

It seems to me that it captures the sweetness and closeness of their relationship.
