From the sky down
Initially Inspired by the movie Inception this set features photos that are a bit different, the dream is real! Most recently Architectual Deconstructivism has interested me in that it is a development of postmodern architecture that began in the late 1980s. It is characterized by ideas of fragmentation, an interest in manipulating ideas of a structure's surface or skin, non-rectilinear shapes which serve to distort and dislocate some of the elements of architecture, such as structure and envelope. The finished visual appearance of buildings that exhibit the many deconstructivist "styles" is characterized by a stimulating unpredictability and a controlled chaos. In these pieces i deconstruct and reconstruct photographs for a new visual reality. This is Deconstructivism photography.

Recently I have just discovered the work of Kawahara Kazuhiko a Japanese Architect and photographer along with the Vortograph photography movement (1917). Like me Kawahara Kazuhiko uses architecture and the city as a source of inspiration for his kaleidoscopic images but he has taken it to another level. He was producing this kind of work for a few years now, perhaps the movie Inception was inspired by his work? Well I do like his work, so had a go at using the triple image idea of the Vortograph fused with Kawahara Kazuhiko.

Watch this space for more kaleidoscopic images of the city!
