View from my backyard

Even though I had a 4 day weekend, I had a hard time going out to take pictures. Someimes life gets in the way of my hobby. I hate it when that happens.

I have been checking the weather reports for a clear night for a while. On the off chance that we get a clear night, in winter, the moon has to ruin it. Last night, I had some luck and I almost didn't get my shot. I planed on shooting this for a minimum of three hours. Problem was I started a movie late and forgot all about the shot until it was over. I ended up at right around an hour. Oh well. i will be on the hunt again.

Best thing about taking this shot in my backyard was I could get everything set up and go back inside. No need to sit outside in the 20 degree temps babysitting my camera
