The Sven Lovén Centre for Marine Sciences and the Department of Marine Ecology at the University of Gothenburg are situated at Tjärnö. My department was treated to a visit there one day in May.

The visit did include a 3 hour trip by the research vessel "Nereus" (www.loven.gu.se/english/ships/r_v_nereus/) to see the two lighthouses at Ursholmen (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ursholmen)
