Dinner Menu![]() A change over since last year, Monsoon now has the talent of Chef Marco Ormonde, previously of Hemispheres and the Distillery Restaurant Group instead of Winlai Wong (incidentally now at the Windsor Arms Hotel – must make my way over there) who had left me with a wonderful impression of quality and service at Monsoon (see 32avenue.com for a very old review). My dining companion and I decided to take advantage of "A Great Night Out" 2 for 1 entrée offer at Monsoon on its last evening and opted to order 3 entrées (in retrospect, I suppose we could have gotten 4 for the same price) instead of an appetizer and entrées. I had to get those delicious yam fries again; however, unlike their predecessors they were neither fully cooked nor crisp. A mediocre that was deeply saddening to me. Entrées are standard, having some decent components within, but again, lacking the wow factor. The decor, still modern, could not impress when noise levels in the dining room reach high decibels although being seated in a quiet nook. Desserts offered do not garner the attention as much as the tea menu does. Service is present but leaves nothing to write home about.
