Brendan, a UMass alumni, won a contest earlier this year to shoot his shot. At the second media timeout, he drained a shot from half court, nothin but net, and won himself 25,000. I caught up with him, hands shaking and he had no idea what he was going to do with the money. Either way-- congrats Brendan!

12-1

12-1

Where to start, what a game. Ryan Thompson is the best player in the MAAC. Kenny's game was great-- isolated late in the game, he took everyone who guarded to the rack. The Saints just could not overcome thier turnovers- Edwin with 6 and Alex with 7. No excuse- this was a team loss. Here's my opinion on the last play-- we let thier best player beat us. Kenny didn't look like he got too much help, but credit Thompson, I was behind the basket, that was a tough shot. It looked like Fran was trying to call a timeout at the end, but Moore pushed.

Hey, we needed to lose, no way we want to go into the big game undfeated, ask the Patriots. Now the At Large questions can be put to rest.

Give Rider all the credit in the world, they brought their best Basketball today.
