Johanna, it's an oyster farm, those poles and floaters are where they tie the pieces of bricks on which the oyster sticks. Thanks, glad you like it.

Oh, I see! Oysters! I once got thrown up on an natural oyster bank by a wave when snorkling on the Australian west coast (my own fault, I didn't pay attention) - they are sharp, those little things! I had bleeding cuts everywhere! I hope they use gloves when harvesting... :)

My oh my, that's some story. I was walking in the lagoon where the water was about knee high, it was really dark, the fact that they are really sharp has never crossed my mind until you told me. I have to be careful next time.
