From my own impression most older Chinese are still very traditional and there is a lot of pressure for young people to get married and have children, so for that reason (and others too) homosexuality isn't very accepted right now. However, from talking with some of my Chinese friends and my own experiences in China, public displays of affection (like kissing) are fairly recent and can cause people to stare. However, I think people's attitudes will change.

Either way, this is a great photo!
