      thanks, ian -- as I was walking I saw him coming and immediately noticed the similarity with the sculpture. then i was almost paralyzed in the ensuing 5 seconds as we walked toward each other, thoughts like "do I try this surreptiously so as not to ruin his smile? or do I do it openly and hope his expression doesn't alter...or ... or ...?" I almost hesitated so much that I nearly missed pressing the shutter! I probably should have done it in portrait mode, but ... oh well ;-)
