Icelantic

Icelantic

January 4th, 2012

Me and a buddy headed up Seymour for a little swim today, the lifts were all closed due to "extreme conditions" meaning rain and the people working there are to pansy to do their jobs.

Just kidding no one likes to work in the rain, anywho we got to the top and hiked a few features in the park and packed it in after a few hours.

For interest sake both skis are Icelantic, the ones farthest away are the da' nollies their signature park ski, center mounted for skiing switch and spinning of lips. The ones closest to the camera are Nomads, their signature "do it all ski"... my skis don't do it all, I wont let them, They're also center mounted, fat as hell and tankisly heavy. They like to go straight down steep lines, ski switch and tear acl's. Luckily I'm young and have the skis mounted up with rossi FKS which I would recommend to anyone, the patented horizontal pivot technology works wonders on you knees.

Mt. Seymour

Mt. Seymour

January 2nd, 2012

A few days ago I was showing my grandma my photostream, during this I truly realized that these weren't just a bunch of photo's, their markers in different points of my life. The reason why I'm putting this here is when I was scrolling through those photo's with my Grandma, occasionally I would come across a photo and not know when, where or even what it was.

Essentially from this I have perceived that if these are such key points in my life, why is there no writing to go along with the experience?

There could be a multitude of reasons, laziness, poor English marks or just not being confident about my writing skills. Whatever the reason is I have decided that the only way to get better at writing is to do more of it.

From hence forth I will try to write at lease a little blurb on each of my photo's so that future stupid memory fading Ryan will remember his childhood.

Lynn Creek Panoramic

Lynn Creek Panoramic

January 1st, 2012

The first day of the end of world has arrived and me and my parents decided to take a small hike up to Lynn creek and across the suspension bridge, we found a small beachy area where the water looked like it could be from Central America but the temperature said otherwise.

Squirrel

Squirrel

January 1st, 2012

After my hike to Lynn Creek with the rents I decided to head down to the annual Deep Cove penguin plunge with a few friends, this event happens every year in celebration of the new year on January 1st. A large bonfire is made while dozens of people run into the frigid water for reasons beyond my understanding.

This was a picture of a squirrel poaching a bird feeder.

Kian Collage

Kian Collage

December 19th, 2011

Days like these are hard to bear, being up on the mountain in +2 degree weather getting rained on. It makes shooting and riding a challenge. We ended up only doing a few runs and heading back down. I put this collage together the day after.
