Something_to_see_here_3

Same place as my hand shot. HDR 3xp. The technique I started doing after these two shots was to take 5 exposures but still use the autobraketing. My camera only does three but I discovered that if I use the exposure compensation I can take a -4, -2, 0 and then crank the exposer compensation up and do 0, 2, 4 and essentially take 6 shots, the middle is a duplicate so you get 5 exposures with 6 shots but only one adjustment. Make sense? At any rate I couldn't tell any difference between the three and the 5, but will still fool around with it, maybe I can use different setting with five than I could with 3. Anyhoo.

To take full advantage of Flickr, you should use a JavaScript-enabled browser and
install the latest version of the Macromedia Flash Player.

Thanks Corica, it paid to hang around for a while. It looked like it wasn't going to amount to much but I stood there for probably 2 hours taking a couple hundred shots. At times it just looked overcast and people jogging by kinda looked at me weird, and one older couple asked me what I was looking for, heh... I said the sunrise and the husband asked if I thought it would happen, can't figure out if it was dry humor, or he meant if there would be a sunrise worth photographing, But several times the rays peaked through and it was an incredible sight. At one point I remember holding out my arms like, YES!!! Bring it on!

Thanks all, nightmare, I think you're probably right about the contrast. It looked better on my home computer but when I'm looking at it on a laptop I see what you mean. I think the horizon is mostly and illusion because the left side actually goes back and there is a pretty wide stretch of water in between the left side and the right side where the white houses are. Might still be a bit tilted.
