365 Day 34

Let me explain to you a percentage scenario here. Take anything in life that you love. Let’s say a concert you always wanted to go to. Or maybe a country you always to visit. Or maybe a person or celebrity you ever wanted to meet. Right? Well let’s say you never considered a possibility you could actually make that happen. But at the LAST MINUTE right before some kind of deciding factor you are given the opportunity of a LIFETIME! The stars align. The chess pieces fall into place. The unexpected happens. The gift is yours. You are given what you always needed and you TAKE IT!!!

This is what happened Sunday for my football team. Let me explain a little something to you (whoever you are). My passion for my team the Philadelphia Eagles is as great as a passion I have in life for anything. This includes photography, my music collection, my job, anything. Today was the last game of the season against the hated evil empire Dallas Cowpies I hate them so much more than life itself. Dallas had a scenario where they win and they are in the playoffs (starting next week).

We (the Eagles) on the other hand had to have a handful of games go our way right before kickoff for this game to mean anything to us. In other words if a bunch of teams that weren’t supposed to win actually won their respective games (Vegas odds less than 1%), then this game against the evil empire turns from a meaningless end of the season blooper into an INSTANT PLAYOFF GAME!! As soon as I saw DA RAIDERS sack Jeff Garcia against the Bucks I LOST MY MIND I FREAKED THE FUCK OUT AT THIS STUPID BAR I WAS AT!!!!!!!! My team was still alive! We were playing the evil empire Dallas Cowgirls. Bring it on!!

Well let me just say I have been following this team since I was a little boy in the 80s. I’ve had regular season wins, playoff wins, and everything else. This was bar none hands down the most exciting day to ever be an Eagles fan. Not only that, but I was the ONLY Eagles fan in this stupid bar, it was all Dallas fans.

We won the game 44-6. It was the best day to be an Eagles fan ever. Even if we lose next week in the playoffs or whatever happens, no one can ever take away the magic of waking up on Sunday and not caring because of the possibility of all the other teams winning making my game meaningful. Then coming out and beating the shitty ass piece of dirt crack ass Dallas Cowgirls was so great I will never ever forget it.

What a great weekend! We’re in the playoffs! WHO WOULD HAVE THOUGHT!!!!!!!!!
