I've had this image in my mind for quite some time. Last week I purchased a neat tripod and head, along with a remote control for my camera that gave me the ability to take this photograph. It is my very first self-portrait.
My thought was to use a shriveled apple along with my hand to make a statement concerning aging. I'll need to work on it. For one thing my hand looks younger in the picture than it really does. Not sure why, as, other than adjusting for sepia tones, the picture is almost exactly as it came from the camera--very slight sharpening.
I'm interested in your critiques.
After looking at this awhile, I believe it needs more space at the top. Perhaps my hand is too tight in the frame.
